peaceful rainA peaceful rain is falling The sound of it is soothing Watching it come down Seeing each little drop fall into the puddles it creates Yet I appreciate from afar Sitting on my couch, looking out my window Though tempting I do not go out I yearn for its touch I wish to feel the pleasure Of the cool wet drops upon my skin Oh so badly Yet I stay inside Alone and empty Unable to convince myself to do so As time passes I notice the calm rain slowly stop All that is left are puddles on a sunny day That creates the miserable feeling of wet feet on the kindpeaceful rain
